Katie Stebbins
Katie Stebbins is the Executive Director of the Food & Nutrition Innovation Institute at Tufts University, and Innovator in Residence at MIT’s Sloan School. Katie was previously the inaugural Assistant Secretary for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Governor Baker in Massachusetts, where she led state investment efforts in cybersecurity, health-tech, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. In each of these roles, Katie has provided expertise in workforce development and the skills required to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
A 20-year veteran of economic development and entrepreneurship, Katie is a constant champion for struggling post-industrial cities and has launched three of her own companies.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
